Georgia Read plays with the idea of a visual diary in her creative practice with exploring music , colour , still life's and multi media work. She enjoys working with her own experiences and refers to these evil spirit figures in her work which could mean friends, self or a setting transferring an energy into her practice.
Georgia is a painter, printmaker freelance curator and admires the use of multi media . She is currently working on Zines and sublimation prints combined with her drawings and paintings. Georgia works with the community , music scene culture being able to then curate a exhibition collaborating sound systems, DJ's and various artist to the public allowing a space for all.
From a working class background Georgia has been exposed to certain settings which has shaped her creative practice in a positive way being able to express emotions through painting , drawing. printmaking and multi media. She learned that pushing traditions in her work is something she enjoys often then allows the viewer to create their own opinion. Her love for music carries through all stages of her work as this a key part to her practice with also having somewhat experience in music .
